The DuraTech Attic Insulation Shield is used when the Class A chimney pipe is passing through an attic space to prevent any insulation from touching and potentially blowing onto the chimney pipe. The Attic Shield can sit over the support box or Firestop Joist Shield when the pipe is passing through a second ceiling into an attic space. The shield comes with a storm collar to prevent anything from accumulating inside the shield.
