The DuraTech Firestop Joist Shield is used when the DuraTech Class A pipe is passing through a floor or ceiling where a ceiling support box is not used. The plate gets mounted to the underside of the ceiling and the sleeve is adjustable to cover the framing.
Note: The Firestop is not needed when passing through the roof decking.
